Our property is designed to make the most of natural daylight, helping to illuminate guest rooms and shared spaces while reducing the need for artificial lighting during the day. This simple yet effective approach supports energy efficiency while creating bright, welcoming spaces for our guests.
Energy-Efficient Lighting
We use energy-saving LED lighting throughout the hotel to help reduce overall power consumption. To minimise light pollution and unnecessary energy use, only essential lighting remains on overnight, with automated systems helping to switch off non-essential lights while maintaining guest comfort and safety.
Responsible Energy Management
We carefully monitor our air-conditioning systems to ensure they operate efficiently and only when required. Our team also conducts regular after-hours checks to confirm that lighting and equipment are used responsibly throughout the property.
Supporting Sustainable Guest Stays
We encourage guests to participate in our sustainability efforts through simple initiatives such as towel reuse, helping to reduce water and energy consumption associated with laundering. To further minimise our environmental impact, guest rooms are serviced every three days, reducing water usage, energy consumption, and cleaning product waste.
Harnessing Geothermal Energy
We utilise a geothermal heating system that draws on the region's natural resources to provide efficient heating throughout the property. By harnessing renewable geothermal energy, we reduce our reliance on traditional energy sources and lower our carbon footprint.
Reducing Paper Waste
Our digital check-in system helps minimise paper consumption and streamlines the guest experience. Where printing is necessary, we use double-sided printing practices and repurpose paper whenever possible for internal reports, staff rosters, and operational documents.
Sustainable Bathroom Amenities
We proudly use KLUR bathroom amenities, a brand built on science, sustainability, and purpose. Their dispensers are manufactured using durable aluminium and BPA-free plastics that are reusable or fully recyclable. Packaging materials include responsibly sourced, recyclable paper products and cartons made primarily from post-consumer recycled materials, helping to reduce waste throughout the supply chain.
Choosing Sustainable Equipment
We invest in equipment designed to minimise environmental impact while delivering a quality guest experience. Our JVD eco-friendly toasters feature automatic sleep and shut-off modes to reduce unnecessary energy consumption. We also use energy-efficient JVD alarm clocks with integrated charging hubs, reducing the need for additional adapters while incorporating low-energy LED technology.
